Version: Elecard MPEG Player 2.0
"Progressive de-interlace for smooth tv-home video viewing"
Summary: I spent 3 months searching for a video codec/player that could play my home movies (In european PAL format)that were converted to SVCD/MPEG2 interlaced. All the other players I tried displayed the frames as "choppy" 25 per second. But this player showed the full 50 interlaced fields per second, resulting in extremely smooth clear playback of my home videos and captured DVB digital tv. The dancing logo is annoying but I put up with it. The nearest alternative for smooth playback I found is WinDVD5.
In the case for MPEG2 film movies, this has is no advantage over other software. So the dancing logo is not worth having on top of the screen.
In summary, it all depends on if your source material to watch is interlaced for this player/codec to be worth checking out.
