Version: Elecard MPEG Player 2.0
"TRAP!!! BEWARE"
Summary: Elecard provides a free download that contains a trap - it messes with your video codec paths, and you can't uninstall it properly - and this is deliberate. To fix the problems, you have to buy the commercial version of Elecard and install that. You can get rid of the Elecard remnants by editing the registry, but that probably won't straighten out the mess it's made of your video-play system.
Your only other option is to reinstall Windows. Sorry...

It is one of the best players I've ever seen and it is worth $20. There are no MPEG-2 players for free, if there are - vendors are not paying licence fees, which is illegal.
Of course you don't have to reinstall WIndows.If you cannot delete the soft following the standard procedure- just read their site (FAQ or somehting), everything is written there, or email to their support guys- they spent pretty much time with me even before I actually purchased their products.
